i have always been a lover of shoes. my mother even has a picture of me at age 2 holding a flat mary jane shoe as if it held some sort of power (still in question). however, in all my years of shoe-loving, designer Ruthie Davis has taken it to a whole new level. not only is she a female designer, but her shoes are fabulous pieces of art. Ruthie (i like to think we’re on a first name basis) takes a badass spin on a classic high heel only to turn them to gold.

Ruthie’s fall 2011 line incorporates all of my favourite aspects of a fall shoe, and then makes it even more awesome. for example – the microcompact in racecar green:

It has been a wonderful (but short) summer. Lots of pool time, partying with my favourite friends, barbecues, iced chai lattes, sangria, sandal wedges, flowery dresses, and Adele songs playing late into the night on a candlelit patio. However, with the end of this fabulous season comes the beginning of my favourite season of all. Fall. Not only do I get to pull out my favourite solid red suede wedges from the ALDO fall line and my new brown leather Michael Kors tote bag, but the leaves will begin to change colour, the air will get a little bit cooler, and halloween, thanksgiving, and oktoberfest will all take place! My favourite new accessories for fall? Beanie hats and knee high socks! I plan to get these in every colour…
